Bedknobs & Broomsticks

Frank and I watched this a few days ago and it’s really an amazing film. From the director of Mary Poppins in the fine year of 1972. This one is a bit late because I posted it everywhere but here. Don’t expect sketches this finished every day though!

Hammocks (Hamhocks)

Inspired by Nikki’s birthday trip to the all-lady roller derby revue. Look at the ham hocks on that one!

Mittens

This is a picture of a cat. I called it Mittens because I am painfully original!

A Pair of Giraffes

This is a request from the amazing Mark Smith. He desired a giraffe and a monkey on a plane with aviator hats + goggles. I was trying out some white pencil and Mark is lovely, so he gets not one but TWO pictures!

Chinese Tiger

We bought this little fella from Xia, a store in Auckland that trades in traditional Chinese products. This is a stuffed tiger, believe it or not. I haven’t yet photographed him, but I will in the future. In the meantime, here is a different member of his family over at my Photobucket.

Monkey Trouble

Flower-headed tigers for Jony!

Flat Rooster

In New Zealand, people have “flat rosters”. A flat is a shared house, I believe it’s a British term. The rosters are used for chores and such. Tamzen is an alternative lady and instead wanted a flat rooster. So here he is!

Beakasaur

This wasn’t a request, but I wanted to draw a Beakasaur. Can you blame me?

Thinkin’ about Lincoln

This is the first post on my new sketch-a-day blog! How exciting! If you have something you want me to draw, send an e-mail to me here. If you want to hear more from me you can look at my Livejournal or Deviantart, which are available in the sidebar to the right. Thanks!
